WWF Rumours
Here is the speculated Wrestlemania 17 card to take place on April 1st. All matches except the first two are unconfirmed but are
strongly expected to go down:
The Rock (c) vs. Steve Austin
Ivory (c) vs. Chyna
Triple H vs. Undertaker
Big Show (c) vs. Kane
Chris Jericho (c) vs. William Regal
Dudley Boyz (c) vs. Hardy Boyz vs. Edge & Christian
We may also see Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit, some sort of match involving Vince and Shane McMahon (maybe a tag team match with
Trish and/or Stephanie) and others added to the card in the coming weeks. The rumor is that the WWF will all but finalize the
matchups by the end of the week.

There appears to be nothing more to Stacy Carter’s firing than Vince McMahon heard one too many stories about her having a bad
attitude. She put up quite a fuss before her PPV match, and once that story got around, others began telling of personal experiences
they had with her. When McMahon was given a laundry list of those stories on Tuesday, he had zero tolerance for the prima donna
“Rena Mero-like attitude” and decided to fire her on the spot. Lawler claimed in a commentary on his website that he asked McMahon
why she wasn’t given a warning and McMahon said that she should have been. That may leave the door open for reconciliation since
Lawler hasn’t publicly bad-mouthed the WWF or McMahon. Since Kat wasn’t given a warning, he could save face by bringing both
back with a stern warning that she has two strikes against her. McMahon heard stories of Carter treating production staffers poorly
and demanding “star treatment”. “She was rude and demanding and felt she was immune because of Lawler’s perceived clout,” says
one source. In retrospect, had Lawler asked for a leave of absence or time off, the situation may have been able to be worked out,
but Lawler-who was unaware of how Carter was acting when he wasn’t around-was blindsided by the move by McMahon.
There is said to be zero-chance of Shawn Michaels wrestling at WM.
The goal within the WWF is to have the entire WM line-up booked in time for the Mar. 12 Raw, but no sooner.
